DEMO Night gives mobile-related businesses from the Mid-Atlantic region the opportunity to present and showcase their mobile/wireless products, innovations or business ideas to an audience of local and national industry experts, entrepreneurs, investors and media. Any regional company with a new to market mobile-related offering is invited to apply to DEMO.

This year’s event will open with a keynote address delivered by PA State Treasurer, Rob McCord, a respected business leader and entrepreneur. As chief executive of the Pennsylvania Treasury Department, Treasurer McCord helps invest more than $80 billion per year and oversees a broad variety of operations designed to improve the economic security of Pennsylvanians. Prior to his election as Treasurer, his work as a venture capitalist helped generate thousands of jobs. Treasurer McCord was formerly a senior executive at Safeguard Scientifics, founded the Eastern Technology Fund and served as co-founder and Managing Director of Pennsylvania Early Stage Partners. In addition, from 1996 through 2007, he led the Eastern Technology Council, a trade association that served hundreds of fast-growing companies.

Following Treasurer McCord, the audience will hear seven-minute pitches from seven selected businesses (professionally coached by Steve Bowman of BizClarity, sponsored by Morgan Lewis). In the spirit of Mobile Monday, the audience will comment in real time using their mobile devices on each of the companies’ offerings.
